Seems to be out of commission temporarily. There's speculation all over other boards as to the reason, but I'm hoping it's just a major software glitch. I hope that glitch doesn't wipe out stored PMs when it rights itself. I've got one stored that I just can't bear to delete. It was the last one my net-friend Rusty sent to let me know how he was feeling and what the doctors were going to try next...right before he died.RFC has lost a lot of good people as of late. Including the most recent, Dan -the founder. You never know how much you really interact (even 'just' on the net) until someone isn't in the spot where they're supposed to be. It would be terrible if our whole little community was unable to make a last ditch effort to trade email addys or other contact info. That happened on another board on which I was a member years ago. Never did find out what happened to some of the people who never found where the site landed after a shake up.

I wondered if something accidentally was overlooked when the "transition" was going on at the time Dan passed away.

My guess it's the money. I'm sure Rimefirecentral is on a dedicated server with a pretty hefty server bill each month. Maybe the guys who are now running the site are trying to figure out where the money is going to come form.
Nah, I doubt ca$hola is a factor. I think it's set up in a way that the site is maintained as a priority and the overflow is what gets divvied up to charities. I could be wrong about that, but that's the way it's always sounded to me.
Maybe ACORN hacked in and whacked it...
