Kid Nation

An abandoned 1880’s mining town in New Mexico will be taken over by 40 kids between the ages of 8 and 15. For 40 days they will attempt to create a working town complete with its own government with no interference from adults. No teachers, no parents, no grown ups – period.
They’ll run stores, work land, and have all sorts of physical challenges that will win rewards in the form of cash, jobs, & life roles. They'll also be able to win “town rewards” that will be decided upon by the town government. They have to set up everything from how they live to their own economy. No one gets voted out. They only leave when they want to.
I normally am not a huge fan of reality type shows, barring my recent infatuation with Big Brother 8 (don't ask- no clue), but I really think I want to see how this one plays out. Want to see? You’ll have to wait until September 19.
Check out the promo.

Maybe you should ask your spousal unit to join you.

Only if you think you'll like this one. I know how much you loved Big Brother (the pieces you saw, anyway).
But OK, then...it's a date. I'll bring popcorn, you bring the Coronas.
