The system works. NOT!

Got a prescription?

Too bad, you’re still trafficking.

This guy served more than two years of a 25 year sentence for having 58 Vicodin pills in his possession. Yeah, the jury wasn’t told that it is LEGAL to possess the drug with a prescription…which he HAD.
Don’t get too comfy just yet. It ain’t over. According to the prosecutor as long as the legislature didn’t define a specific defense to the prescription law, he has a duty to prosecute. So, he’s going to pursue it.

"He sold two condos, his car and his bread business to pay for the appeal. But the state took the proceeds, according to family friend Eric Mastro, to pay toward the $500,000 fine that came with his conviction."

Hmmmm this doesn't sound like the actions of a guilty man . I do believe in my heart the State of Florida owes this man a new life ...

...except that they apparently aren't finished trashing *this* life first.

Maybe we should all get “Concealed Carry” permits for our prescriptions.

Well he did have prior conviction for drug offense...and a prescription for this "offense" , I'm gonna guess he won't qualify for a comcealed anything permit. As for the rest of us ? As a cover yer tushy it might be a good idea to wear a medical alert bracelet and keep a log of your meds . Ok bad idea - now there is a list of corner drugs you have for sale ...Ah' heck just don't go anywhere,do anything or even look cross-eyed.Being on a self inflicted incarceration isphysically cheaper in the long run. Emotionally the same tolls get paid.
