Alabama – My parents let me go on vacation with a friend’s family and we went spelunking.
Arkansas – I spent a year in Little Rock one night with the longest flight layover I’ve ever had.
D.C. – I had a 6 hour layover there on that train ride when I was turning 17 (18 happened to be the legal drinking age and I did take advantage of not being carded). That trip was back and forth from IN to FL and returning by way of NY. It was a “graduation present” from my mom to go back home and see my best friend for two weeks. First trip I ever took all alone.
Delaware –long train trip that stopped in every little place.
Florida – I was moved there at the age of three and raised there.
Georgia – Atlanta was always the halfway mark of our trip down I-75.
Illinois – many trips to Chicago for Magnificent Mile.
Indiana – Born here, live here currently, would take dynamite under my booty to get me out. Or maybe a spanking. Either way.
Kansas – that was tossed into that trip to Oklahoma.
Kentucky – traveling through. Is Louisville EVER *not* under construction??
Louisiana – my brother lives there and I’ve visited. I liked it, but I never got to cross over into Texas…which I will do some day!
Maryland – there’s that train trip again. There are some really cool covered bridges in this place!
Michigan – I live 20 minutes under it. It’s also where Cabela’s is located: nuff said.
Minnesota – land of 1000 lakes? Dunno. Didn’t see them. But I saw the mall of America! Five times. :-D
Mississippi – passing through during travels
Missouri – traveled during that Alabama trip
New Jersey – disembarked a long train ride there to look around a bit. Wasn’t impressed and got back on the train to wait for the “all aboard”.
New York - 100th birthday of the Statue of Liberty on October 28, 1986… that’s where all those train people were going. I also went “through” New York when my parents took us camping into Canada.
North Carolina – when my brother was fresh out of the Marines and back from Okinawa, he lived here for a couple years. I visited two or three times. Very pretty landscape.
Ohio – 15 minutes down the road. I go there often. We camped there last summer.
Oklahoma – my dad took us to a huge C.B. radio convention when I was little. I just remember it being hot, and that some lady had a C.B. vest on her dog (who had his own “handle”).
Pennsylvania – that train trip went through Pittsburg at 2am and I’d never before seen an entire city that was so alive and lit up at that time of the morning. People everywhere doing every thing.
South Carolina – traveling to see my brother
Tennessee – Traveled through for every IN/FL vacation. Got into a big fender bender in the pouring rain in Knoxville when I was pregnant. The dog leaped from the car and ran right out into the interstate.
Virginia – trip to see the big bro.
West Virginia – traveling through
Wisconsin – Ah Wisconsin, and the great water parks. We love the Dells.
