What a friggen joke. Apparently, in California (well, that about says it all right there...) there's a 13 year old kid who has an American flag on his bicycle to show support for the veterans in his family. The school administrators said some other students complained....and you see where this is going, right?? You just have to see the insanity for yourself to believe it. (Click here for text and video)

hello, I came across your blog, and read about what happened about the boy and his flag, and I must agree that it was very wrong for people to complain, but sadly this happens to a lot of people, whether it's with their American flag, or any kind of hispanic flag, or any other flag. Also when I saw the video I believe that a man came out speaking about the first amendment, and it's interesting because it seems like people don't often use that anymore, but it's good that he brought it up, because something needs to be done, with the flag situation, for any student, both white and colored.
Administrator should be suspended and maybe fired. Students that complain about the flag of the USA, the flag of the country in which they are living should be permanently expelled and sent to the country they hail.
Road Warrior & John, I agree with both of you. We are so pressed upon to be PC we are forced to infringe on ourselves (our faith, our beliefs, our personal ethics).

I think one point you might be missing is that no one (student/faculty/parents)have justification to complain about an American kid showing American pride with an American flag in an American school...that has an AMERICAN flag flying on it's own property...
We're in this mess because the majority of our countrymen have betrayed the principles of our sole founding document, the best document ever to be written by man, the guiding light of generations.
But, even that noble document is paper. Mere paper to be obeyed or disregarded... and when it comes down to it, right the fuck down to the nit and grit, fuck the Constitution and fuck this nation of 'America' too - I shall defend my family and myself, none else. Not the State, in whatever name It chooses to engarb and shroud itself. If the remainder of my 'countrymen' wishes to submit to tyranny, they're more than welcome. I know not whom you shall serve, but as for my House, we shall serve ourselves.
Fuck 'America,' pure and simple, if this is now what 'America' has become. Just because a place shares the same territory as the empire that came before it, it does not make them one-and-the-same. Modern-day Italy and ancient Rome are two distinct empires, with distinct lineage, almost completely different culture, and languages which are only barely recognizable to one another. No one speaks any Etruscan any longer.
So to it is with 'America.' This is not at all the same country which I love with all my heart. It simply shares the same boundaries as the old America, the former America, the real America. None here are left who speak the language of liberty. None here are left who understand that arms are not to hunt game or feed families or to even to protect against citizens - those uses are too explicit to be made mention of - the sole purpose of arms ownership - is to defend oneself against the State, whatever the State has managed to morph one's homeland - one's former, and formerly beloved, homeland - into its indwelt House of Babylon. Here is where the whore of oppression sits, splayed upon her throne, birthing the beast of the world. Here sits the Whore of Babylon and its followers in its own image. Dead are Jefferson and Madison and lady Liberty. All that is left is the insane sensitivities and proclivities and offended 'sensibilities' of one's neighbors and the tyranny of the State. And that is ALL that now resides here in Amerika, formerly America.
So why the surprise and indignation, former friend? Surely you knew it was like this, has been like this for some time? Surely you're not so naive as to suggest that the right thing to be done shall be done? Surely not.
