My Dad

I don't get to see him often since he lives over a thousand miles away, but he was traveling this month and came to see me.
We all visited until around 11pm tonight, which is well past the time he usually hits the rack, but even though it was late...it was a good time catching up on events, people, and memories.
Meet my dad. :-)He just turned 78 this year and here are some words of wisdom from him about growing older:
"If I'd have known then what I know now, I'd have had a few more beers, kissed a few more women, and kicked a few more asses."
I'm not sure there's much more of any of those to be had... when we were in the restaurant, he hugged a waitress...for a long time! :p
Dads. You only hope you grew them up right before you turned them loose on the world!
HA

Your dad sounds like a man among men. And he has the glint of the amiable yet no-nonsense crank I am working to become.
*hoisting a beer*
Here's to DADS, present (long may they guide us) and departed (may they truly rest in peace, awaiting our reunion hereafter).
