He's right, it IS a neat old bridge!

We decided to get off the main road and just take in some of the scenery.
There's not much I don't like about fields. Some people don't like living in flat lands, but I really like all the seasons of the flat fields. When they're plowed, when they're planted, when stuff is growing...right up through watching harvest.

Even the irrigation catches my eye.

Random clumps of trees...don't you just love that?

Clouds over farmland; now who can resist that?

One of the best things about a nice day is seeing all the bikers out.
Who doesn't like that?

Bet he was on his way to go looking at some barns.
OK, maybe not. But I like them.

Holy Moly!! There was an accident! A pickup truck ran right off the road and into a deep ditch, slamming head first into a tree!
Traffic was stopped and an ambulance whisked someone away. We all sat there waiting on a tow truck to pull the pickup out of the ditch.
If you click on the pic to make it bigger, you can see the tail gate way down on the right.

It took awhile, but they finally hauled it up and out.

Then the wrecker hauled it away.

Wow. That was something. I hope the driver was OK.
Random tree, random wildflower:

Hope you enjoyed the drive.

My wife and I enjoy just wandering Indiana. I have some really neat shots from keeping a camera in the car. Just got a new digital SLR for my birthday yesterday so I will be out and about.

I should learn to keep the digital with me when we go anywhere, because you just never know!
However, we do keep a disposable camera in the glove box of each vehicle...in case of fender bender or whatnot.
