Join me! :-D
It was a little cloudy, but otherwise a perfect day to be outdoors for a while. I headed towards that cornfield at the end of the street.

From the corner, you could see the neighbor’s silo across the top of the corn that’s tasseled.

The corn is so tall, I can’t reach the tassels even when I stand on my toes.

I don’t know why I love the way it looks right now, but I do. How can anyone not love tassels?

Along the way there were all sorts of wild flowers (which SOME people call weeds). I love the way they look and smell even though they make me sneeze like crazy.

The Queen Anne’s lace covers both sides of the road.
Most people don’t know that it’s wild carrots.

Here’s a wild grape vine growing on a barbed wire fence.

They usually do much better, but the critters have been after them pretty fiercely this year. Especially Japanese beetles.

I was reaching for a sprig of wild lavender and stirred up this little guy, so I left it be.

Just beyond that was more corn field. Don’t you just want to step in and lose yourself?

If you do, (and I’m not saying I did!) you’ll find a tree anchoring the corner of the field…

With more wildflowers around it.

I love the end of summer in Indiana...fall is right around the corner. Can you feel it?
