China's Sweet Tooth

Today I was helping a steel worker find a pair of safety shoes that he needed for work and I pulled a pair out of a box for him to try on. He put them on and stood up and said it felt like something was wrong with the sole of the shoe.

He took them off and I looked inside, finding nothing out of the ordinary. I looked at the sole from the bottom...still nothing odd. He put them back on and stood up again and said "There's definitely something wrong there."

I took them back and dug around until I got a good grip on the insole and yanked it out.

Underneath the insole of this "made in China" boot, was a piece of wrapped Chinese candy!

It was in a green wrapper and looked like an ear of corn and had Chinese lettering except for one spot that said in English "corn candy".

How 'bout that!?
