Sweet !

No the "Significant Regulatory Action" is in regards to the monetary outlay that *will* be required by this , correct ? Meaning it will effectively close doors for small business and make the door hinges really rusty for more affluent business - or am I not reading this correctly ?

The cost of manufacturers to comply with the proposed rule would be exorbitantly high. One of two things will happen:
It will either get passed on to the customer who most likely won't want to take out a mortgage to plink,
or...
Gun stores will succumb to financial homicide.

Otherwise, the fallout will be from other areas of that document (which I'll bold):

Proposed paragraph (c)(3)(iii)(C) would require the employer to
ensure that no person carries firearms, ammunition, or similar articles
in facilities containing explosives or blast sites except as required
for work duties.

That ^ means stores selling ammo and/or guns will essentially become gun free zones. Everything from gun stores to WalMart.

In addition, as recommended by the Petition (Ex. 2-1), the
proposed requirement would prohibit ammunition and similar articles
along with firearms.

That’s the part (Ex. 2-1) about restricting firearms and ammunition being sold in the same facility. Kiss gun shows bye-bye.

The requirement would allow firearms, ammunition,
or similar articles to be carried by guards as needed to perform their
work duties.

I’m pretty sure that means to infringe on concealed carry as well.
