If you handle a firearm in the gun store and the mag release does not allow the magazine to fall clear, there is something wrong. If the store clerk tells you that's they way they work and you're supposed to grab the mag and yank it out yourself...they are lying.

Mags should freely fall when the mag release is depressed.

Hey!
don't forget the "Euro" spec models that originally come with "non drop free" mags.
Granted in the subsequent generations they fixed that "defect" for the Americano shooters.
90%+ of the time what you say is true...
