I'm reading this captivating book about love found and lost spanning World War I and beyond. It's the first really nice weekend in a while, and since I'm a teeny bit banged up from a mishap yesterday, I decided instead of going shooting, maybe sitting on my bench swing and reading would be more my speed.
It's April and 81° out. Never in my life...
Whatever...I took my book, a throw pillow and my phone in case anyone should call with an update about my mom, who oddly broke her ankle in a freak fall, too. Over a thousand miles away and we still have such close mother/daughter bonding moments.
Happy Sunday.

Weird, I have a friend in Houston whose elderly mom broke her ankle. Oh, and it is beautiful here on the gulf coast as well.
I find myself sitting on the porch at every chance grading papers, doing lesson planning, etc. Thank the lord for wi-fi.
Oddly, the people at the hospital told her that in the last 3 weeks, they've seen more broken ankles/hips than in the last few years combined.
What is going on!?
I suspect that the earth is randomly rotating and causing vertigo. It is amazing we have not fallen off yet. I hope the boo-boo's get better!...
P.S. We must have pics, or it didnt happen!!....
