Negative 17? Before windchill? Yeah, I'm so over that. I'm ready for winter to be done. Schools are being delayed or outright closing everywhere...not because of all the snow/ice dumped on us the last few days, but because of the extreme cold. Global warming? Yes, please Mr. Gore. I would like to experience some of your junk science right about now. I'm freezing! *note to self; increase flannel sheet order.
minues 28 in winnipeg without the wind chill...-40 most of the time...Schools are going strong, maybe we just got thicker skin though...being born in the snow lol
Yeah, you know bjkearns from RFC? He's a high school kid and he said for extra credit in an anatomy class they watched "Inconvenient Truth" and have to write a paper on it. That's not showing the teacher's bias!! You should have read his paper! What a zinger! I asked him if he was up for adoption!! :D
BJ is a good kid. I've talked to him a good bit. I will sometimes challenge my students to going against the prevailing opinion. That way it forces them to hopefully think for themselves. Though I make it clear I don't care what they think, just that they think. Sadly, so many kids don't know how to think.

You can HAVE it. And I won't miss it.
I don't want thicker skin...but I'll take some Starbucks!
Geez, the low for today is 44. Of course, that is ridiculously cold for here but still. Man I'm glad I moved back from up north.
Midnight in Indiana on Saturday...oops fades to Sunday ...+40 temperature rise! Impressive :)
Yeah. They want global warming taught in schools as 'science', but NOT firearms safety.
Make sense to you?
