There have been a lot of times throughout my walking on this planet that I’ve had the opportunity to help people. Whether it’s something as insignificant as opening a door or picking up a dropped package, or something like helping someone get on their feet financially after a bad run of luck…helping others is an awesome feeling. I’ve spent a lot of my working days dealing with the public. Everything from working in a daycare center and a library to working as an inside sales rep with customer service. In every single job I’ve ever had, the most rewarding part was helping someone…teaching a kid to tie their shoe, finding an out of print book for a patron, researching the exact gear a steel worker needs to tie off and be safe. It’s a really satisfying feeling to help someone. Even more so, when it’s something that helps an ailing person physically feel better.
I’ve done a little research and a whole lot of soul searching about something.
I’ve made some phone calls and sent some emails. I sat down with the husband unit tonight and we talked it over. I got a little info together and I have an appointment tomorrow for a fact finding session. I’m going back to school to work towards becoming a physical therapist.

Congratulations on your decision and best of luck. Having done the career change midlife and going back for my masters at the same time as the whole spouse being sick has been an insane challenge but very well worth it.
Go and kick, or more likely, make better, some butt.
;) ... :) Now that's something I really enjoyed reading.Took my entrance exams last night ...the journey begins.
Most excellent, best of luck!
Good for you! I hope you find your "calling"....and enjoy a rewarding career.

Thank you, peeps!
The well wishes mean a lot!
It's a daunting step to take when you're turning 40. When I toured the campus, I realized most of the students could be my kids!!!
Yikes.
