YEAH!!!

INDIANAPOLIS AWARDED SUPERBOWL XLVI IN 2012!!

The NFL has awarded Super Bowl XLVI to Indianapolis, which will open a new stadium for the Colts this August.
Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis is expected to seat about 73,000 for a Super Bowl. The game is scheduled to be played February 5, 2012 after the 2011 season.

Is Lucas staduim the same as the RCA dome?

Nope. Two different animals. Lucas will replace the RCA dome. It's currently under construction still...but supposed to be open this year.
I'll see if I can dig up some pics or something and send them to you.

RCA Dome is 300 S Capitol Ave and Lucas Oil is 500 S. Capitol Ave. If you know where the Dome is, you know where Lucas is.

Got it. This is great for Indy...assuming there is a 2011 season - some think there may be a lockout that year.
