Aside from the hassle of smudges, rain speckles, scratches, etc that I’m not looking forward too, my big question of the day is this: How will they affect my shooting?
I usually use my natural point of aim and THEN use the sights and I mostly don’t have a lot to correct by way of where I need to move. What about with glasses that will change everything from my depth perception on? Will I feel like I need to correct, but in actuality be over correcting and start missing my mark a lot? What about my colored safety glasses? The yellow for the dim indoor range? The pink for contrast of clay on tree for Trap? How does that work with regular glasses? I would have even entertained the notion of contacts if I wasn’t so freaked out about them. I won’t ever wear them again. That’s another story.
This feels hopeless. Not to mention nerdy.

Last time I had the eye doc poke and prod at my eyes , I had him skew the read to adjust exclusively for shooting. Just something to think about, eye exams can be adjusted for intended purpose. As far as your technique you may or may not have to adjust a thing . Just remember, seeing is hitting . Best of luck .
I'm sure you'll be fine and perhaps you will only need them for close-up work such as reading and computer work. Proper shooting is probably more about technique and skill anyway. You certainly have them perfectly sighted.
Picked out the frames and got the transitional (sunglass type) lenses. End of next week; I should have them.
Gee, I should pretty up before you get your new glasses.
You get right on that.
Annie,
I too went to the eye doc Monday....got my new bi-focals today....and I am going to try them out tomorrow (Saturday) with my new Savage Mk-II....that I haven't done so well with yet....cause....I couldn't see the dang dot! By the way, these are my first ever bi-focals and today has been a hoot getting adjusted to them. Good luck with your new eyes! Lightweight.
