The peeps with the little kids were gone by 9pm or so, but some of the fam showed up after, so we were about 26 in all.
What a good time!

After darkness fell and everybody moved the chairs in to close up the circle, then that little fire got cranked up! It was awesomely perfect weather! Right in the middle of those huge pines, it was great. Every once in awhile, the cloudy sky would break open to show off bazillions of bright stars, including a shooting star.
Kate’s chili rocked (as always). Molly brought caramel apples instead of brownies. And Sara had to leave a few minutes after I got there. Dang. (She’s my favorite, but you didn’t hear it from me. Shh!)
I have a short video, but I can’t link or post it because “What happens at the fire, stays at the fire”. LOL
There’s also an implied “no cell phones or texting” rule, so of course I had to text MiniMe (from across the fire) a message that said “Stop checking your texts at the fire”. Ha!
All in all… a really good time. I love the fam. Weird as they all are, they make me look almost normal. *Almost*.

It was a great time wasn’t it? But, I always enjoy time with you! Your family never fails to put on a terrific gathering.
My relatives’ on the other hand just, just, just….well there isn’t enough time or really any words to describe the type of crap fest that comes from them.
